We are based in south west London where we hand design and make accessories, gifts and homewares using gorgeous fabrics and trimmings not usually found on the high street. We also hand-curate vintage and new pieces – perfect original gifts for family, friends and you! As for our name, Turtle & Teal, it’s simple really – we love the colour teal and have a particular affinity to turtles. Plus we’re rather partial to a bit of alliteration now and again!
FIONA: I have always enjoyed sewing and making things and I can’t resist buying vintage and unusual fabrics. I also love looking for one-off pieces for the home. Luckily I have a large cellar to store all my finds!
SARAH: A love of sewing runs in the family – my grandparents had a tailoring business and my mother was always embroidering and at her Singer sewing machine when I was a child. I’m always on the look-out for interesting and unusual accessories. Occasionally I even manage to part with them and sell them to our lovely Turtle & Teal customers!
