Here are some of our favourite sewing and craft blogs and websites for inspiration:
Sew Over It – we were inspired by Lisa Comfort’s fab sewing workshops when she had a shop in Clapham. Sadly the shop has closed but the good news is she now runs online classes for all levels.
Make It and Love It – free craft, sewing and décor ideas and tutorials. We’ve tried several of the sewing tutorials and they are clearly explained with photos.
Tilly and the Buttons – packed with useful free tutorials on sewing your own clothes and patterns you can buy online.
Guthrie & Ghani – Lauren was a finalist in the Great British Sewing Bee and her website includes a fabric shop, online courses and dressmaking tips.
Clothkits – much loved sewing and knitting shop in Chichester which also sells online. Gorgeous fabrics plus a wide selection of sewing, craft and knitting kits, patterns and haberdashery.
Merchant & Mills – beautiful classic style: fabric, patterns, haberdashery and online tutorials. They also have a shop in Rye, East Sussex.
